Hello Doctor, could you introduce yourself to the SeniorLife community?

I am Dr Audrey GEMINE and I am delighted to be here with you. I have been a general practitioner since 2005 and have worked in a geriatric ward for 15 years.

I am currently working part-time in a neurological revalidation service and I have developed my consultations in homeopathy and aromatherapy.

Why did you agree to join the SeniorLife network?

As a general practitioner, I realize how difficult it is for people to get in touch, to find activities that make sense for them.

The Covid-19 pandemic has done a lot of damage to humanity, the other has become dangerous, we have all been isolated at home for months.

Personally, some of my friendships have been damaged by remoteness.

This type of network makes it possible to create links and to find plenty of activities to do and also aids offered to single people.

You ever hear of Seniors?

Obviously, I worked 15 years in geriatrics, the elderly are wonderful, full of wisdom, it’s a school of life!

But the term Senior does not only concern the elderly and starts in the fifties even if with the aging of the population 50 years is very young in a life where the average age in 2022 is 80 years.

From the age of 50, children have become increasingly independent and we, parents and grandparents, are sometimes bored…

The SeniorLife network was designed to offer occupations to this segment of the population who are still working professionally but are concerned about taking care of themselves through sport, arts and other activities.

What are the advantages of the SeniorLife network for you?

Centralize information in a clear and practical manner. Nowadays, everyone has a smartphone and simply communicating in a network can make them feel less alone and create a connection.

We often criticize our teenagers who are too connected but fortunately there was that to keep the connection during the lockdowns.

Real friendships can be created on the internet and even more if we believe the success of dating sites.

What will you bring to the network?

My expertise in medicine and more particularly in the field of homeopathy and aromatherapy by creating some useful tips and practices.

Many thanks to you,

We find you very quickly, Doctor Gémine, eager to discover your health advice for a good life!
