The dances performed at tea dances can be different depending on many factors, such as the region, culture and personal preferences of the participants.

However, in general, the dances performed at these events are often ballroom dances, waltzes, tangos, pasodobles, cha-chas, foxtrots, marches, boleros and rumbas. Line dances, such as country line dancing, can also be popular.

It is important to note that the dances performed at senior citizens' tea dances can vary considerably depending on the region and culture. In some regions, for example, traditional or folk dances may be preferred.

We cannot ignore the power of dance on the well-being of many seniors.  Considered to be art therapy, we can only encourage seniors to practise dance, which also helps them to bond.

Tango is often considered to be a complex dance that requires a certain amount of technique and communication between partners. Tango movements include pivots, turns, swings, crosses and slides, which are executed with great precision and synchronisation. Tango has enjoyed great popularity throughout the world, with many regional and cultural variations. It is often associated with the image of the Argentine tango, but there are also forms of American, Finnish, German and other tangos. The pasodoble
The pasodoble is a popular dance of Spanish origin that is often associated with bullfighting. The pasodoble is usually danced in pairs, with one man representing the bullfighter (matador) and one woman representing the bull or cape.
